Since our founding, Ecotone has implemented numerous successful projects throughout Georgia, often in collaboration with leading international institutions such as the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Global Environment Facility (GEF), the German Development Bank (KfW), GIZ, WWF Caucasus, SIDA, and others.

Through our work, we have contributed to building institutional capacity, improving natural resource governance, and empowering local communities to be part of the solution to today’s environmental challenges.

Enhancing the financial sustainability of Georgia’s protected areas by introducing visitor fee systems and supporting community tourism models
Conducting full Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) for wastewater treatment and water supply infrastructure in the Achara and Imereti regions
Supporting the development of water and biodiversity management plans in protected areas such as Kolkheti and Javakheti
Creating awareness and providing technical advice for sustainable fuelwood use through the ECO-Georgia project
Developing multi-purpose forest management plans in Adigeni Municipality
Evaluated the effectiveness of protected area management using internationally recognized tools (e.g., METT) to inform continuous improvement and policy development.
